“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:22-25
Lately God has been revealing to me to let go of the past, to press forward to the future and to let go of things that may seem good, because he has something great in store for me. I received a message from someone that included this context: “you have asked me for something good but I want to reward you for something great, something beyond you have asked for and to continue to work hard with what he has laid in your heart to reach”
After this message I opened up a book I was reading to see the title of the chapter as “The Beginning of the End”
I don’t know who needs to hear this right now, but don’t be afraid to let certain things go in order to walk into the fullness that God has called us too.
This may be a good season, and a good chapter in your life, but God has a great one for us next. When we align ourselves with him and where he wants you to go he will bring favour, wisdom and anointing on our life, and he promises us an abundance.
We need to stop focusing on the ending and start getting into the posture to receive the amazing things that he has for us.
When God gives us a new beginning it usually starts with an ending. Be thankful for closed doors, they usually lead us to the right ones.
You were called on purpose, for a purpose, you are called to make a difference, and your life is bigger than you. If you want to be great you have to let some things go in order to create the alignment in your life that determines the assignment that you are called to.
My prayer for this week is that God will reveal the doors we need too close and that we will embrace the transition he is bringing to us in this next season.
